Gio Ponti & Paolo De Poli - Very Very Rare Enameled Copper Vase

About the Item

Italian artist of great renown, Paolo De Poli ( b.1905, d.1996) is most celebrated today for his brilliant work executed in enameled copper, a craft-oriented art in which he collaborated with a number of noted architects, arguably first among them being Gio Ponti, whose Pirelli Building (1956) located in Milan is described by noted Italian art historian, Germano Celant, as a "...vertical jet of solid lightness". De Poli's work with Ponti, such as the beautiful and rare example offered here, is highly sought after.
